Preliminary UI for AgileDash SP

May 24th, 2010

So I have tinkering with multiple types of UI to go with on AgileDashSP, and I thought it would be very cool if I could pull off a rich user interface while keeping functionality high, I would love to hear opinions if you think the sticky notes just complicate the UI.  They can be scaled up and down as they are vector graphics, so I can make them smaller if needed, but you fit less information on them as they get smaller. I do plan on implementing a clever way to view the info at a quick glance if the text does get trimmed.

Please let me hear your feedback!

It looks very cool. The problem often though with such a stylised UI is the editing mode. Making the edit mode not feel too removed or out of place might be tough.

  2. Hi Chris,

Thanks for the compliment! It actually has been worked on quite a bit since yesterday and looks much better and you are right the edit is going to tricky. I was thinking of a flyout window bubble to edit the text, it will look a bit like the Netflix windows that popout to display information about your Netflix DVD items, which is where I got the idea. Been brainstorming several UI concepts using Balsamiq and pencil and paper, hopefully I can pull it off!
